Z+F TopCam

Z+F TopCam – Fast Color Capture for 3D Laser Scanning

The Z+F TopCam is a laser scanning accessory developed to significantly accelerate color data capture when working with compatible Z+F terrestrial laser scanners.

With Fast-Mode and Pro-Mode, the TopCam provides flexible image capture depending on the required speed and lighting conditions. Using three capture positions, it records the complete environment with a panorama resolution of approximately 60 megapixels.

Two Capture Modes

Pro-Mode

In Pro-Mode, the Z+F TopCam captures six images of the same scene with different exposure times per shot. This helps achieve a neutral image result even when lighting conditions vary significantly.

Fast-Mode

For applications where speed is the priority, Fast-Mode captures only one image per shot.

• Recording time: 12 seconds
• One image per shot
• Significantly faster color data capture

For comparison, the integrated i-Cam of the Z+F IMAGER® 5024 Supreme and Z+F IMAGER® 5016 requires approximately 150 seconds to capture an HDR panorama.

60 MP Panorama Capture

The Z+F TopCam uses three capture positions to record the entire surrounding environment with a panorama resolution of approximately 60 MPx (3 × 20 MPx).

The resulting images are almost parallax-free, providing efficient color information for captured scan data. The image precision does not reach the same level as the integrated Z+F i-Cam.

Easy Scanner Integration

The Z+F TopCam is designed for straightforward installation and operation. Once mounted, the camera is automatically recognized by the scanner, helping simplify the capture workflow.
