Forensic Set for Determining the Line of Fire

Price Available Upon Request

The Forensic set for determining the line of fire is designed for calculating and analyzing bullet trajectories during criminal investigations. The set includes eight lightweight reference spheres that attach securely to existing trajectory rods, enabling accurate scanning with 3D laser scanners. The scanned sphere center points help extend and document possible projectile trajectories, making the system a practical solution for forensic crime scene documentation and bullet trajectory analysis.

Description

Overview

The Forensic Set for Determining the Line of Fire is designed to support forensic investigations involving bullet trajectory reconstruction and crime scene documentation. The system consists of eight precision reference spheres that are mounted directly onto existing trajectory rods and scanned using a 3D laser scanner.

Once scanned, the center points of the spheres provide reference coordinates that can be used to calculate, extend, and analyze projectile trajectories. The lightweight design allows quick deployment in the field while maintaining reliable visibility for laser scanning applications.

Quality: Made in Germany.

How It Works

The forensic set is used together with existing trajectory rods commonly employed during crime scene investigations.

  • Slide two reference spheres onto the trajectory rod.
  • Secure each sphere using the supplied rubber rings to prevent movement.
  • Position the trajectory rod according to the investigation requirements.
  • Scan the setup using a compatible 3D laser scanner.
  • Use the detected sphere center points to extend and analyze the projectile trajectory.

This workflow provides a practical method for digitally documenting and evaluating bullet paths.
